Recipe: Pandemic tea

The world is in chaos, the media is bonkers, people are losing their minds and we have nothing to do now except face ourselves and our fears.

You’ll also notice that along with the toilet paper, there is no ginger left at the grocery store, probably due to its antivirus and antibacterial properties.

Over the years of being exposed to many cultures’ home remedies for cold and flu prevention, I’ve developed this tea, which is your antidote to pandemics, the common cold, fear and feeling unloved.

Based on traditional knowledge from India, Spain and Jamaica, this tea will kill any bad vibe or microbe that can be accessed through your digestive tract — and it’s made with the simplest ingredients that you can mostly still find at the grocery store. Are you ready to be blown away, asepticized, and freed from self-doubt and insecurity?

Let’s do this!

Step 1: Gather your arsenal/ingredients

Half a lemon, 5 cloves of garlic, a hunk of ginger (about 2 inches) and honey (1-2 tablespoons to taste). All of these ingredients are antiviral/antibacterial.

Optional: hunk of fresh turmeric

Step 2: Coarsely chop garlic and ginger (and optional fresh turmeric). Throw into 3 cups of boiling water for 5-10 minutes.

Step 3: Add lemon and honey, and drink up (tastes better than it looks!). Makes about 2 cups, so save one for your quarantine buddy.
